A woman who honors the Lord deserves to be praised.
Women's Fellowship
The Immanuel Lutheran Women’s Fellowship is a group of women from the congregation who meet monthly. The purpose of the Women's Fellowship is to grow together in the word, in love and service to the local church, the community and to the wider mission of the Lutheran Church of Australia.
All Women's Fellowship members are automatically members of the Lutheran Women of NSW and also of the Lutheran Women of Australia. The Women's Fellowship is also affiliated with Australian Church Women and fosters fellowship with Christian women of other denominations.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 10.30am followed by a shared lunch. These are held in the homes of members or at the church. All women are most welcome.
In recent years, the main fundraiser is the running of an op shop six times a year at the church hall on the first Saturday of every second month (February, April etc). This is a valuable service to the local community and an opportunity to reach out in love and friendship to many people of differing ethnic backgrounds. Friendships are forged over a complimentary cuppa and biscuit.
Other activities include involvement in a women’s retreat; sending Christmas boxes to underprivileged kids through Operation Christmas Child; and four times a year preparing a mid-week communion service, followed by a lunch for seniors and aged members and friends.
