Easter is the most significant part of the church year. We gather to worship together a number of times in the week leading up to Easter Sunday. On ‘Maundy Thursday’ a reflective evening services guides us in remembering Jesus’ last meal with his disciples, his betrayal and arrest. Good Friday marks the death of Jesus, as God carried our brokenness and sin to the grave.
On Easter Sunday our worship celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, in which God has defeated sin and death and opened a new way for us into full and abundant life.
You’re welcome at worship as you are. On Thursday, you might find workers still in business clothes and kids already in PJs. Friday and Sunday will have everything from suit and tie to t-shirts and shorts.
