Some of our missional community members will be trying a four-week period of prayer and fasting in July and August. We’ll be praying particularly for discernment as to where the Holy Spirit is leading us in our mission and church planting, as well as for God’s protection and grace against attacks of the enemy, crises and distractions.

Fasting is not something usual in our church culture, but it is biblical! It is a discipline which can help us to focus on God and hear what the Spirit is saying (not so that God will hear us better!) Throughout this period, we will be skipping one meal each week, being intentional in our praying, and share and discern with each other what we are hearing.

Anyone is welcome to join us in this season, we will begin with an evening together on Thursday 18 July (7pm at Immanuel), and over the four week period share and discern together through a messaging app.
