What a marvellous Sunday. Calvin Aartsen-Traeger being baptised. 5
young people and their families celebrating first communion. And
thanking God for so much volunteering that happens and through our
Immanuel community. The Holy Spirit is powerfully at work, just like the
early days after Pentecost.
In the Men’s Bible Zoom we talked about a surge of the Holy
Spirit. Personally I think that surge is also happening in our midst, and I
thank God for it. More baptisms are coming. And God continues to
feed and lead.
Volunteering has many shapes and forms. It takes a lot of effort to have
two worship services each Sunday, now livestreamed. Thankyou. So
much volunteering happens behind the scenes. I would include all the
praying that happens for our mission together. We are moving through
winter with a lot of sickness, and lots of opportunities to pray for others
and keep in touch with them and encourage them. Thanks.
Sometimes the Holy Spirit prompts us to volunteer in new ways, and
leave some of what we were doing. Pray about your calling in Jesus’
mission through Immanuel. And encourage and thank those who
volunteer around you.
